Dan McCann is the President and Founder of Magnolia, where he leads the firm's strategic direction and oversees the investment committee, capital raising, Wall Street relationships, and business development. Before founding Arroyo, he spent over 20 years as an investment banker specializing in residential real estate at FBR Capital Markets. During his tenure, he raised more than $2 billion in equity capital for prominent firms such as Century Communities, TRI Pointe Homes, American Residential Properties, and Air Lease Corporation.
Dan also advised JH Investments and Oaktree Capital on the acquisition of Taylor Morrison Home Corporation. His prior experience includes senior roles at Credit Suisse, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, KB Home, and Wasserstein Perella. Over his career, he has been instrumental in advising or leading the acquisition of over a dozen U.S. homebuilders, representing several billion dollars in transactions.
Sarah Wilson is a Principal and Co-Founder at Magnolia Land Capital and brings with her twenty years of residential real estate experience. Prior to joining Magnolia, Mrs. Wilson spent six years with American Homes 4 Rent (NYSE: AMH) as Senior Vice President, where she was responsible for developing, executing and managing a land banking strategy for over $1 billion in land assets. Prior to this role, she was responsible for third party homebuilder acquisition and development projects and oversaw the acquisition of more than 10,000 single family homes across the nation.
Prior to AMH, Mrs. Wilson spent ten years in real estate investment banking at FBR Capital Markets focused on land, homebuilders, mortgage REITs and single-family rental REITs. During her tenure at FBR she helped execute in excess of $2 billion in initial equity capital raises. Mrs. Wilson is an honors graduate from The University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Alex Dunivan brings over 15 years of experience across land banking, development, finance, and public builder operations to his role as Principal with Magnolia Land Capital. Prior to Magnolia, Alex founded Mesa Realty Advisors, a real estate consulting firm dedicated to guiding developers, builders, landowners, and capital providers through underwriting deals, navigating the complex process of entitlements, and structuring properties for disposition.
Alex has also held key roles at Arroyo Capital, a landbank subsidiary of Oaktree Capital Management, and Highpointe Communities, a preeminent residential developer in Southern California. Alex began his career in public accounting at Deloitte and Touche specializing in real estate before accepting a land acquisition role at Cal Atlantic homes, a public homebuilder with national presence. His broad experience and deep industry insight provides a unique perspective of both principal operations and private equity investments.
